I posted a blog greeting him a happy birthday which was my last entry before this. Last June 23, 2011, he passed away. He suffered from multiple brain sclerosis, a different kind of brain cancer. Now, me and my siblings will be celebrating yet another Christmas, this time without Mom and Dad. Anyhow, a moving forward attitude is intense among us. RAKELhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11016531950299280919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3804794707565441338.post-67154765652471656142010-11-05T22:20:00.001+08:002010-11-05T22:20:56.496+08:00happy birthday, Dad!<span style="color: #b6d7a8; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I dedicate this post to my Dad, happy 66th birthday.
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; font-size: small;">I was deeply inspired by an anime series I have watched weeks ago and decided to adopt the title of the anime to this space-Saiunkoku Monogatari or the Tale of the Land of Colored Clouds. T<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">he story was set in a fictional empire of Saiunkoku, and was centered on a girl belonging to a noble family that has fallen on hard times. She worked odd jobs to make ends meet to help her father who is working as a librarian of the imperial palace. Her dream was to pass the imperial examinations and take a post in the government, path forbidden to women.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">The story of Saiunkoku blog sapce, unlike the anime, will not center on a women, rather it will tackle different issues concerning lives of people around the author, who is a woman herself. Since "saiunkoku" means a land of colored clouds, different colors will be posted (not literally though). At the least the author of this blog space would try to give color to situations of people surrounding her, meaning to share in this space experiences, and learn somethings new or reiterate old thing to our minds.
